The North Carolina Constitution acknowledges the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife by traditional means. Hunting with dogs has been a human tradition for thousands of years and has been a part of our culture in North Carolina since its founding. The North Carolina Sporting Dog Association and its lobbyists are working to make sure this tradition is protected for generations to come. We are working to ensure that everyone in our state and our legislative leaders are educated about our way of life. Please see below for an update from the organization, the lobbying team’s accomplishments from last year, the General Assembly Schedule, and the agenda for the upcoming 2024 Legislative Session.
