The North Carolina Constitution acknowledges the right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife by traditional means. Hunting with dogs has been a human tradition for thousands of years and has been a part of our culture in North Carolina since its founding. The North Carolina Sporting Dog Association and its lobbyists are working to make sure this tradition is protected for generations to come. We are working to ensure that everyone in our state and our legislative leaders are educated about our way of life. Please see below for an update on the 2024/2025 General Assembly schedule, our recent Board meeting, and a description of past lobbying accomplishments.
